Merry Christmas from DSIC!
The peoople who walked in darkness have seen a great light
A child is born to us. His name is Wonder
Counselor
God-Hero, Father-forever
Prince of Peace
We have witnessed unbelievable darkness in 2024. The darkness of war in Gaza, Ukraine, South Sudan and Haiti to name just a few of the 160 wars around the world this Christmas.
The darkness of war is like no other darkness. It is filled with fear, anxiety, despair, hopelessness. .
Yet tonight, Christmas night, we pray with Isaiah that a child is born to us.
The child of hope, and light. The Christ .
May you experience the Christ being born in you and your family this Christmas.
May your world be filled with light, wonder and peace.
May the child’s birth this night be a reminder to us that darkness of war does not have the last word – but hope has the last word in a world of darkness.
May you experience the Christ child’s light and Promise of a better tomorrow;
Christmas peace to all of you from the Dominican Sisters International Confederation.
