NGO COMMITTEE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The NGO Committee on Social Development was founded in 1998, after the Copenhagen UN World Summit for Social Development (March 1995). At the summit, Governments reached a new consensus on the need to put people at the center of development and pledged to end poverty, achieve of full employment, and foster of social integration.

The committee meets on the Third Wednesday of the month from 10:00-12:00 noon. Time of New York, United States (UTC-4). The committee has several subcommittees:
