#YouAreMySister
The Advocacy Project Coordinator from UISG Uta Sievers has just launched #YouAreMySister campaign. This campaign profiles how women religious are supporting communities during the coronavirus pandemic. It does so by shining a light on the work of Sisters in Cambodia, Kenya, India and Brazil in six videos: http://uisg.org/you-are-my-sister/
We especially wanted to point all of you to the India video, which shows the work of Sister Lalamma Joseph Palamootil OP and Sister Deepa Moonjely OP of the Dominican Sisters of Charity of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin.
Through this awareness raising campaign, UISG and now DSI is calling for the international response to COVID-19 to be more agile and sensitive to local communities, with resources redirected to where there is the most urgent need. Vulnerability to human trafficking and hunger are top of the list.
“You might share the campaign with your contacts“
On social media, there will be 1-2 campaign posts every day for the next two weeks, and the India video will be posted on Wednesday, 30th of September on our social media channels.:
